The Best Oculus Touch games are a varied group. They are shooters, racers, exploration experiences, and treks through licensed properties. While varied in nature and game play, these games all have one thing in common – they help define what the Oculus Touch experience should be. These games are all ranked according to how well they leverage the Oculus technology as well as the general enjoyment players have of the games themselves.

Thumper is one of the best Oculus Touch games because of the experience, not necessarily because of the game play elements. At its heart, it’s actually pretty simple – you navigate a rhythmic track, attempting to not crash before the end. What you actually experience, though, is quite mind-bending. It’s one of the better examples of how VR can accomplish certain things that just aren’t available in the traditional gaming space.
9. Job Simulator
This is the Wii Sports of Oculus, a very simple game that does a very good job of introducing the basics of using the platform. It’s not a terribly deep game, nor is it going to keep your attention forever – but it is a fun tutorial for the system. It’s a great game to play if your want to introduce friends to VR.
8. Raw Data
As a pure game, Raw Data may actually be one of the best Oculus Touch games ever produced. There’s a certain kind of twitch gaming that VR hasn’t traditionally done well at which Raw Data excels. The story, such as it is, isn’t that compelling but the experience itself is pure adrenaline. It’s a good example of where VR game play will likely go in the next few years.
7. Descent Underground
If you were a gamer in the 90s, you probably have fond memories of Descent. One of the better truly 3D games, it was a mind-blowing experience at the time. It’s only natural, then, that the VR version should be much the same for gamers in 2017. While Descent Underground might not be the best flight game on the Touch, it’s still one of the more impressive experiences you’ll be able to find.
6. The Unspoken
One of the great things about the best Oculus Touch games is that they help players live out fantasies. In this case, The Unspoken helps the player to step up and live out the dream of being a wizard. While this is a combat-heavy game by its very nature, there’s something almost dreamlike about having that much power at your fingertips. It’s not the most fully-featured game in the world, but it’s still quite fun. This is one of those unique experiences that you can’t get on a gaming PC, so it’s worth picking up for the Oculus.
Superhot is the shooting game you never really knew you needed. It’s a bit like the Matrix – in fact, you could call bullet time the entire gimmick. Time only moves when you move, so the world freezes around you as you stand still. Adding in the Oculus Touch makes your entire body feel like an extension of the gun, creating a unique experience that just can’t be matched elsewhere.
4. Arizona Sunshine
You’d think there’d be more zombie games in the list of Best Oculus Touch games, but Arizona Sunshine is the only one to make an appearance here. A legitimate free-roaming zombie game, this is one of the few VR horror games to give some real agency back to the player. There’s nothing more satisfying than scavenging some spare ammo and taking out a clump of zombies, and the beautiful graphics of the game really help to sell the location. With solid voice acting and a decent story attached, Arizona Sunshine ably earns its place on this list.
3. Crystal Rift
Dungeon Crawlers have always been an important part of PC history. Given that they were originally first-person experiences, it seems fitting that one of the best Oculus Touch games should also be a first person crawler. While Crystal Rift can be light on story, the in-game Dungeon Editor more than makes up for that. There’s something fantastic about creating your own dungeon and being able to delve into it.
2. Elite Dangerous
Elite Dangerous is a great game on PC and consoles. When you move it over to Oculus, though, it becomes something truly special. There’s not a lot of story here nor is there any real guidance, but it nails what players are looking for in terms of starship control and combat. This game is as good as it gets – and it’s definitely the best single-player experience on the Rift. Elite: Dangerous is a game that you must own to get the most out of your Oculus.
1. Star Trek Bridge Crew
Bridge Crew is the Star Trek game fans have always wanted to play. It ranks highly on the list not because of that, though, but because it presents a VR experience that can’t work on consoles. There’s something about this highly interactive environment that just makes things click in the minds of players. You’re not just in a game here – you’re on the Bridge, and you’ll do anything you can to accomplish your mission. This transformative experience is certainly something that is worth the time of even those who don’t love science fiction. Definitely a game that should not be missed.
